About Us

The origins of George Fethers & Co began in1867 when Jules Renard opened a small trading company in Melbourne,Australia, importing building supplies. 

The company was renamed George Fethers & Co in 1900, to reflect a change of ownership. At the same time, a young man named Bernam Perkins was hired as an office boy. He went on to buy the company in 1930.

The current owners are the third and fourth generation of the Perkins family, who progressively purchased the company from previous generations. 

George Fethers is a dynamic marketing and distribution organisation focused on the needs of the commercial and residential construction and furniture industries.
